Vecoplan deliver a rotor system which
prevents oversize penetration, eliminates pressure on the screen and
prevents friction generated heat. This reduces power requirement thus
reducing operating costs. The Vecoplan VAZ machine has a kinetic trigger installed to protect the motor gear box and reducing system against damage in case oversize stones or iron pieces get into the hopper. Without a safety system like ours you would have to be extra careful about how you filled the hopper. Vecoplan rotor bearings are mounted
in solid steel housings with a specially designed two-stage dust seal.
There is a form-lock flanged joint to the machine housing. It is not
just some simple bought in cast iron bearing as others use.
What about the Ram system? Since Vecoplan are an engineering company and manufacture in their own factory, the design team have refined our process system to the top level available and even on our smaller machines the client gets the benefit of the best technology. The Ram travels in specially shaped wear resistant plastics rails with lateral guidance from ball bearing rollers. The technique is designed to give maximum benefit for each individual model and is of increasing strength according to machine capacity. Ram travel is by two speed hydraulic drive with an independent motor, the feed rate is controlled by continuously monitoring power consumption on the main motor. This means every material is specifically fed at a rate conducive to maximum efficiency. Is the motor voltage suitable for my supply if you are scanning continuously to get this level of efficiency? It is: we have the motors wound to your voltage for the very reason that constant scanning requires accurate voltage assessment. It takes a little longer for us to prepare the motors but it pays you back in efficiency, lower running costs and reliability.
The Vecoplan VAZ models 800 and larger are all equipped with a PLC controller with self learning features. The real time monitoring of the motor load and other parameters ensure the automatic adaption of the ram motion with different materials and different conditions. Screen size changes, for example, require no further adjustments because the PLC ensures that the ram functions with the new parameters automatically compensated for. You seem to have smaller motors than those fitted by your competitors. This can be true, we don't need to have oversize motors as the PLC ensures we get best efficiency with the motor fitted as standard. We put motors up to 200 kW on our biggest machines working in the Waste Transfer stations and they will produce up to 20 tonnes an hour from demolition timber! We know the best size motors for the materials screen size and throughput - this comes from experience and design techniques.
Well, not quite. The Vecoplan is laden with features such as Spring Loaded Ram Seals that prevent material slipping beneath the ram during operation. The machine is made from very heavy and thick plate to withstand constant load and the shaft diameters are massive for the same reason.
